GPS Tracking Resolution
Tracking resolution refers to the frequency at which your vehicle's position is reported to the Plug N Track GPS system. The more frequent the plan reports the higher the resolution of tracking.
Is higher tracking resolution a good thing? Yes! But some fleet operators whose vehicles are primarily highway driven or aren't as concerned with the whereabouts or routes that drivers take may not require additional position reporting. Other fleet operators whose vehicles are driven in urban areas, provide dispatching, or simply want a finite log of the whereabouts and routes taken by their vehicles will benefit tremendously from higher tracking resolution.

Below are examples of the tracking resolution you can expect from each Plug N Track GPS service plan. It's the same vehicle trip but the detail is entirely different. You can also see what the Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans would look like if Heading Changes updates (Turns) weren't included.
