GPS Tracking Resolution
Tracking resolution refers to the frequency at which your vehicles position is reported to the Plug N Track GPS system. The more frequent the plan reports the higher the resolution of tracking.
Is higher tracking resolution a good thing? The answer is, it depends. Some fleet operators whose vehicles are primarily highway driven or aren't as concerned with the whereabouts or routes that drivers take may not benefit as much from additional position reporting. Other fleet operators whose vehicles are driven more in the city, provide dispatching, or simply want a more finite log of the whereabouts and routes taken by their vehicles will benefit tremendously from higher tracking resolution.

Below are examples of the tracking resolution you can expect from each Plug N Track GPS service plan. It's the same vehicle trip but the detail is entirely different. You can also see what the Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans would look like if Heading Changes updates (Turns) weren't included, which many competitors leave out of their plans.
